Visiting Wales - Visit the Rhondda Heritage Park, near Pontypridd. Rhondda area is highly recommended, as having a fantastic landscape, geat history and beautiful towns and vilages within the Rhondda valleys. The Rhondda Heritage Park South Wales is a tourist attraction which offers an insight into the life of the coal mining community that existed in the area until June 1983.
Opening times are from 10.30 am. Within the visitor centre (entrance building) of the old mining area you will find in the upper floor a lovely cafe. A Cafe Late, freshly prepared just £1.50. But you may order also a full meal.
Rhondda Heritage Park, Trehafod, Rhondda, South Wales, as seen from the hills. The coal mine had a deep of about 900 feet / 300 meters. There are tree shafts.
The Visitor Centre includes an indoor 'village street', artefact exhibition galleries, the temporary exhibition gallery. The gift shop offers a variety of souvenirs, memorabilia of the coal mine and Wales at large.
